- 5) Seasonally HIRED PLAYERS are great prospects - get to know them, go to their symphony and other performance concerts, ask their opinions about musical things, and invite them to participate with your group. Look for ways to minister to them. Make yourself available to them and be sensitive to needs in their lives. Send an orchestra handbook and other information. Make sure they know rehearsal times and location. 8) Civic Band or orchestra - GET INVOLVED as a player or assistant conductor, if possible. Get to know the other players in the group, especially in sections where you are weak.
